The Egyptian Ministry of Agriculture has established a special committee to investigate ways for increasing fish production.
Dr. Gamal Naggar, chief scientist for the Central Laboratory for Aquaculture Research and USSEC’s aquaculture consultant in Egypt is a member of the committee, which is mandated with assessing Egypt’ current aquaculture situation and developing a plan to increase fish production and reduce production costs while applying biosecurity measures.
The committee meets monthly.
