Nearly 1.4 billion soy consumers live in the Greater China Region. This includes a growing middle class that is improving and diversifying diets. Consumption of vegetable and animal protein, as well as vegetable oils derived from soy, is increasing.

China’s economy is expected to remain resilient, as the country focuses on high-quality development and sustainability. Taiwan boasts one of the highest per capita soy consumptions in the world. These development trends indicate the potential for soy demand remaining well above domestic consumption throughout the region.
