MENA Poultry Producers Attend USSEC 5th Advanced Training Program for Veterinarians at University of Florida

USSEC held its 5th Advanced Training Program for Veterinarians at the University of Florida’s College of Veterinary Medicine April 13 through 20.
USSEC consultant Gary Butcher, professor of Poultry Disease Control at the University of Florida, provided direction for the 23 participants from major Middle East and North Africa poultry producers in this training program. The intensive training program’s topics included biosecurity, vaccination programming, and emerging metabolic and endemic diseases in the Middle East and North Africa.  The course included lectures and ample time for questions and discussions.

“This has provided a valuable opportunity for these poultry industry-leading veterinarians from the MENA Region to learn of new advances in disease diagnosis and control and to encourage dialogue,” said Dr. Butcher.
USSEC Regional Consultant – MENA Mousa Wakileh coordinated this popular and successful program.
