USSEC Promotes U.S. Soybean Products in Abastur Trade Show in Mexico

USSEC participated in the Abastur Trade Show in Mexico City from September 1-4.
USSEC consultants Jorge Martinez, Pedro Gonzalez and Adela Perez manned the USSEC booth, which promoted soybean oils and soyfoods.  The Abastur event is a major trade show for the retail and food service segments in Mexico and Latin America.  Approximately 1,300 exhibitor companies from 12 countries participated in the 2014 show.
More than 20 soybean products were exhibited and promoted at the USSEC booth, including soybean oils, soy milks and soybean texturized protein foods.  These products were manufactured by eight companies that consume U.S. soybeans and U.S. crude soybean oil in the Americas region.  The consultants helped managers and representatives of these companies to exhibit and promote their products, making more than 70 new commercial contacts.  A chef was hired to prepare various recipes using soybean oil, texturized soybean protein and soybean beverages, inviting trade show attendees to taste these foods.
