Jordanian Poultry Producers Receive Technical Assistance from USSEC
USSEC recently provided technical assistance to poultry producers in Jordan.
USSEC consultants Drs. Gary Butcher and Craig Coon traveled to Amman during the week of October 25 to provide technical service to the commercial poultry industry. This USSEC activity involved travel to key commercial poultry integrations to provide technical assistance on management, nutrition, and health issues faced in the region. The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss the benefits of U.S. soybeans and soybean products for the growing poultry industry in the Middle East and North Africa. During the consultations, a number of problems plaguing the industry were discussed and recommendations provided on how to reduce and eliminate their negative impacts. This program was well received and appreciated by the Jordanian poultry industry.
