Egyptian Aquaculture Producers Attend Biosecurity and Aquatic Animal Health Management Training

USSEC / Soy Excellence Center and WorldFish hosted the second training program on USSEC Biosecurity and Aquatic Animal Health Management Training, which took place at WorldFish Center in Egypt from November 2 to 7. 45 fish farmers from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region listened to presentations from distinguished speakers from the United States, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia.  Topics discussed included nutritional impacts on the health of fish, management practices that maximize the health and production of fish, genetics, pathology, and biosecurity.  A field trip to one of the largest tilapia farms in Egypt was an additional opportunity for training the participants in best management practices.
