Eleven aquaculture nutritionists and experts from universities in different parts of Europe who had previously worked together in many aquaculture research projects in EU made presentations during the short course.
Presentations were based on the latest research conducted in the EU for sea bass, sea bream, and trout species. Most of the presentations focused on how to utilize plant proteins, stressing U.S. Soy products, to reduce the amount of fishmeal and fish oil in the feeds of these species, and how to maximize the value of feed ingredients in a very competitive environment.
The Turkish fish feed industry was 100 percent represented during the short course.
