U.S. Soybean Meal Value by Origin Highlighted in Feedstuffs Magazine

The July issue of Feedstuffs magazine, the number one general magazine for feed compounders in the U.S., featured a column about soybean meal value by origin, highlighting the paper that USSEC consultant Dr. Gonzalo Mateos presented at the 2016 Poultry Science meeting on analysis of soybean samples collected in the European Union market.
In general, the apparent ileal digestibility of the dry matter, crude protein, and most of the amino acids (lysine, methio- nine and threonine) was higher for the soybean meal samples of U.S. origin than for the soybean meals of other origins.
