Spanish and Portuguese Customers Attend USSEC’s Risk Management Course in Spain

USSEC recently organized the third Southern Europe Risk Management Course in Altafulla, Spain, in collaboration with FCStone. 60 people attended the one-and-a-half day course representing the Spanish and Portuguese feed industry, importers, and crushers.
The objective of the program was to advance the use of risk management tools to improve business in the feed industry, with the main focus on soybean meal, as it is one of the most volatile markets. FCStone discussed soybean meal futures and options, as well as other tools in the market. Radames Muñoz and Sergio Dettmer of FCStone led the presentations.
USSEC also discussed all inputs related to quality of U.S. soybeans and soybean meal. Lola Herrera, USSEC South Europe representative, presented “U.S. Farmers’ Sustainable Soy Production.” Mercedes Ruiz from AESTIVUM and Ms. Herrera presented the cash market situation from grains and proteins.
Customers appreciate USSEC’s efforts in the European market and around the world.
