Chinese Expo Attendees ‘Visit’ U.S. Soybean Farm via VR

The USSEC China team participated in the 16th China Animal Husbandry Expo and 2018 China International Animal Husbandry Expo held in Chongqing, southwestern China, from May 18 to 20. The mission of the annual expo is to build a platform for communication and the exchange of views amongst the international animal and husbandry industry to promote the development of the whole industry chain. Over 5,000 companies and entities from animal breeding, livestock, animal protection, feed, additives, animal and husbandry feeding infrastructure, and instrument suppliers brought their technology, service, and information to the Expo.
To promote and strengthen the Chinese edible grain oil industry’s awareness of sustainable U.S. Soy and its unique advantage in amino acid composition, USSEC demonstrated its SSAP system, among other things, as part of the U.S. Pavilion. This was the first time that virtual reality (VR) technology was applied in a Chinese event to vividly show U.S. soybean sustainable farming practices. Over 200 participants ‘visited’ a U.S. Soy farm through VR technology. Participants from feed millers, and broiler, livestock, and breeding entities exchanged views on technology, marketing, and trading at the booth with the USSEC marketing team.
