USSEC Welcomes Senior Director – Soybean Meal Feed Markets

Carlos Salinas has joined USSEC in the role of Senior Director, Soybean Meal Feed Markets. This senior director position will guide USSEC’s marketing and promotion messaging and work strategies for the Soybean Meal Focus Area.
Mr. Salinas will report directly to USSEC CEO Jim Sutter, actively collaborating with key players on the U.S. Soy team, including the United Soybean Board’s (USB) VP for Meal, USB/USSEC Communications and Marketing Team, USB’s Measurement and Evaluation Manager, USSEC’s Focus Area Director for Aquaculture, U.S. Soy Industry Members, USSEC’s Senior Director of U.S. Soy Marketing, USSEC Regional Directors, and USSEC’s Director of Measurement and Evaluation. He will lead a globally based team of staff and consultants aiming to move its target audience of international feed ingredient purchasers, feed producers, and soybean meal producers to understand and embrace the nutritional and sustainability advantages of U.S. Soy as a feed ingredient.
Mr. Salinas joins USSEC from Bunge, most recently serving as the head of the USA feedgrains desk, where he was responsible for aligning global strategy within North America, cash and futures trading exposures, and the direction and execution of commercial strategy. He previously held positions with Bunge in Singapore and Brazil. Mr. Salinas has also worked for ADM and Continental Grain Company in both domestic and international positions.
Mr. Salinas and his wife Susy have three children: Sarah, Carlos, and Oscar. He enjoys playing tennis, participating in local leagues and tournaments.
