USSEC Promotes U.S. Soybean Products in Exporestaurantes Trade Show in Mexico

USSEC participated in the Exporestaurantes trade show in Mexico City from June 25-27.  The Exporestaurantes is one of the major trade shows for the Hotels, Restaurants and Institutions (HRI) segment in Mexico.  About 250 exhibitor companies participated in this year’s event with more than 15 soybean products exhibited and promoted, including soybean oils, soy milks and soybean texturized protein foods manufactured by seven companies that consume U.S. soybeans in Mexico.
USSEC consultants Jorge Martinez and Pedro Gonzalez promoted U.S. soy products at the USSEC booth.  These consultants helped managers and representatives of the seven companies that consume U.S. soy to exhibit and promote their products, making over 40 new commercial contacts.  Mr. Martinez gave a lecture titled “The Use of Soybean Oil in Frying Foods” and Mr. Gonzalez discussed “The Health Benefits of Soybean Oil” in a seminar held in the edible oils pavilion during each day of the trade show.
