USSEC Holds Board Meeting in St. Louis

The USSEC board of directors met in St. Louis on December 4.
In addition to consent agenda items, the board heard from several speakers, beginning with USSEC CEO Jim Sutter, who urged a continued focus on the What it Takes effort. Mr. Sutter also spoke about the Agricultural Trade Promotion Program (ATP), saying that USSEC sees it as a tool to help build long-term markets for U.S. Soy.
Daniel Pearson, principal of Pearson International Trade Services, spoke about international trade, focusing specifically on the trade dispute between the U.S. and China.
David LaVelle, senior vice president and senior partner at Fleishman-Hillard, discussed reputation management efforts for the U.S. Soy industry.
