USSEC Board Meeting Takes Place in St. Louis

The USSEC board met in St. Louis from December 16-18 at the Renaissance Hotel at the Airport.
Following an executive committee meeting on the 16th, the full board met on the 17th and 18th.
Members received a report from USSEC CEO Jim Sutter before moving on to a discussion of unfinished business, which included the allocation of funding between regions and a report covering Unified Export Strategy (UES) 16. The board next listened to new business, particularly a discussion of the global utilization plan, before moving to hearing committee reports from the executive, audit and budget, membership/industry relations and governance committees, before moving to project management. Members also heard many presentations in the area of generative thinking, including: global supply and demand; meta-analysis update; market access; and efforts to mitigate potential market issues in China. Relevant issues, including QSSB market involvement and communications, and board training were also covered.
