USSEC is pleased to announce that Randy Olson will represent USSEC as the Marketing Manager Lead on the United Soybean Board (USB) Freedom to Operate (FTO) action team and will lead the industry relations development effort. Through a global network of international offices, USSEC helps create and sustain demand for U.S. soy in over 70 international markets.
“Randy’s experience makes him a natural to lead the International Opportunities Target area for the Freedom to Operate Action Team,” said Ed Beaman, USSEC International Program Management Director. “His outreach experience and background well-qualifies him to further USSEC’s efforts to engage our industry in helping us deliver higher quality technical and trade servicing programs internationally.”
Mr. Olson brings valuable experience to the USSEC organization. He is the former executive director of the Iowa Biodiesel Board (IBB) since its 2007 inception, helping lead efforts to write and implement significant legislation containing multi-year extensions of tax credits for Iowa’s retail fuel industry. In addition, Mr. Olson and his team fostered valuable industry relationships and helped develop a biodiesel training program for diesel mechanics now implemented nationwide. Mr. Olson also served on the Iowa Renewable Fuels Infrastructure Board, a program that has funded 206 biodiesel pump and terminal projects since 2006.
