In late November, the Thai Feed Import Group purchased 3 panamaxes equaling about 180,000 metric tons (MT) of U.S. soybean meal from Bunge for Q4 2015.
According to USSEC Regional Director – Southeast Asia Timothy Loh, “That makes seven panamaxes of U.S. soybean meal purchased by the Thai Feed Import Group since we brought their leadership over to the U.S. in 2013.”  He continues, “This is excellent news.”
During February and March 2014, the Thai group purchased two panamaxes from ADM and Bunge with an additional two purchased in November/December 2014 from Bunge.  The three shipments for Q4 2015 bring the total to seven.
