Don’t Miss USSEC’s February WASDE Webinar

USSEC will host a webinar taking a deep dive into the USDA’s February World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates.

Traders, farmers and soy processors around the world refer to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) World Agricultural and Supply Demand Estimates (WASDE) report as an indicator of where supply and demand, and ultimately the price of soybeans, may go. They recognize this type of market awareness is increasingly important. To help stakeholders better understand the report and its implications for U.S. Soy, the U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC) will host a webinar following its release on February 9 at 7 p.m. (Central Time).

Mac Marshall, vice president of market intelligence for USSEC and the United Soybean Board (USB), leads the monthly webinar. He will be joined by Jim Sutter, USSEC CEO, and Michael Liautaud, Manager of Education and Research at Commodity & Ingredient Hedging (CIH).

As manager on the education and research team, Liautaud helps agriculture industry participants gain a better understanding of margin management concepts and strategies. In targeted private and public seminars, he teaches the mechanics of the futures and options industry, translating complex ideas and formulas into simple language. He also contributes to CIH publications focused on risk management for agriculture producers and buyers.

Marshall says the webinar and its guests help unpack the WASDE report for customers and provide valuable insight.

The no-cost registration can be completed online.

USSEC hosts this U.S. Soy WASDE update each month to provide an analysis of how the USDA has updated the global supply and demand projections for soybeans. Previous WASDE webinars can be found at ussec.org.
