CEO Jim Sutter announced that Ed Beaman, current International Feed Marketing & Governance Director, will assume the role of Acting Greater EU Regional Director in addition to his current duties, effective immediately.
“Ed has proven to be an excellent leader in his current position, and we look forward to his capable support and presence in the EU region,” stated Sutter.  “Our commitment to the greater EU region is strong, and Ed is the ideal person to lead the EU team at this time.”
In his new role, Mr. Beaman’s focus will be on continuing program implementation and new program development.  He will oversee the existing EU team and will be involved in program development and management.  Mr. Beaman will be assisted in his new responsibilities by other key team members, including Brent Babb, International Market Access & Trade Issues Director, who will increase his involvement with Sustainability and Biotech issues in the EU region.  Paul Smolen, Contractor for USSEC’s High Impact Project, will continue his duties as EU Meal Customer Point of Contact and Market Development Lead.  Jim Sutter, USSEC CEO, will escalate his involvement with EU trade association relations.
