Rob, together with his wife Ellen, was a lifelong farmer in Shelby County, Ohio. Upon his graduation from Ohio State in 1975, he began farming full time. He had a lifelong relationship with 4-H.
Rob was active at the American Soybean Association (ASA) for 10 years, serving as president for one year. He was a dedicated supporter of ASA’s World Soy Foundation and an active member and past officer of the Ohio Soybean Association (OSA), serving as president and chairman over the years.
“Rob served on the USSEC Board in 2009 and 2010,” said USSEC CEO Jim Sutter. “He was a big supporter of USSEC’s work in international markets and worked very hard to promote U.S. Soy.”
Rob is survived by his wife, one daughter, one brother, and one sister.
