USSEC Participates in On-Farm Network Conference in Iowa

USSEC participated in the annual Iowa Soybean Association (ISA)’s On-Farm Network Conference in Ames, Iowa on Thursday, February 20. The focus of this year’s conference was “Advancing Agricultural Performance” and included 30 breakout sessions. Approximately 500 growers attended.
USSEC Regional Director – Europe and Middle East North Africa Brent Babb gave a radio interview and a presentation on sustainability at the conference. Mr. Babb’s presentation, titled “Sustainability and U.S. Competitive Advantage,” discussed the value of U.S. soy exports ($28 billion last year) and the legacy of conservation in the U.S. He explained how sustainability is America’s competitive advantage and the key for U.S. soy farmers to meet rising world demand. Mr. Babb also talked to participants about the U.S. Soy Sustainability Protocol and encouraged them to spread the message about the sustainability of U.S. soy.
