USSEC participated in the Food Technology Summit & Expo trade show in Mexico City from September 25-26. USSEC consultants Jorge Martinez, Pedro Gonzalez and Alvaro Becerril exhibited a booth promoting soybean oils and soy foods. The Food Technology Summit & Expo is the only Spanish-speaking expo in the world that addresses additives and ingredients. More than 150 top level companies of additives and ingredients for the food industry exhibited booths at the summit.
Approximately fifteen soybean products were exhibited and promoted at the USSEC booth, including soybean oils, soy beverages and soybean texturized protein foods manufactured by eight companies that consume U.S. soybeans and U.S. crude soybean oil in the Americas Region. The consultants assisted managers and representatives of these companies to exhibit and promote their products. The trade show proved to be a very successful strategy to increase the sales of the soybean products of participant companies and the consumption of U.S. soybeans and soybean oil as more than forty new commercial contacts were made in the food industry.
