USSEC China organized feed producers’ exchange activities between northern and southern feed millers from September 20-25.  Forty technical directors and general managers from middle scale feed mills attended these activities.  USSEC Animal Utilization (AU) Technical Director Dr. Richard Han, AU Technical Consultant Dr. Sam Shi, and AU Program Manager Ms. Sunny Zhang organized this activity and escorted the team.
In addition to attending the feed processing techniques innovation conference co-sponsored by USSEC and the VIV animal husbandry intensive expo, the group also visited Langfang Ruikang Feed Mill Co., Ltd. (a subsidiary feed mill of Guangxi Yangxiang Co., Ltd., one of China’s largest feedmills); COFCO Excel Joy (Tianjin) Co., Ltd.; Tianjin Chia Tai Feed Tech Co., Ltd.; and Tianjin Ruifu Feed CO., Ltd.
Team members went into the feedmills’ operating rooms and viewed the detail management and the feed processing at above first class feed mills.  After the tours, they expressed that they learned many practical and useful management methods, which can be applied in their companies to increase their production level and eventually increase soybean meal usage in feed mills.
