USSEC Offers Risk Management Seminars in Southeast Asia

USSEC recently collaborated with the Singapore branch of the World Poultry Science Association (WPSA) to host a seminar on risk management practices in the value chain. More than 30 WPSA members representing the animal health and poultry sectors attended the half-day event. Chin How Cheong, Ph.D., of Age D’Or Consulting Group, discussed the status of the poultry industry in India and what future challenges lie ahead. Darhim Hashim of the International Halal Integrity Alliance discussed the process of setting a global halal standard. Timothy Loh, USSEC Singapore director of marketing, presented current market drivers and projections for the global soy outlook.
In an effort to create awareness and increase development and marketing opportunities for U.S. soy products in Southeast Asia, USSEC will continue to host risk management seminars throughout the region. Future education programs will focus on a variety of topics including: technical concepts, management and marketing opportunities allow USSEC to distribute information about U.S. soy to livestock and aqua industries.
