USSEC held its annual Unified Export Strategy (UES) meeting in St. Louis on January 19 and 20.
UES is a funding proposal, which will be submitted to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) in May requesting FY 2017 funding. Each year, USSEC compiles a document on behalf of the U.S. Soy family that outlines the proposed overall international marketing plans for the next fiscal year.
USSEC developed the UES through a series of interactive meetings focusing on macro overview, budget allocations and a worldwide overview and FY17 program proposals. The director of each USSEC global region (Worldwide, North Asia, Americas, Southeast Asia, the Asian Subcontinent and Greater Europe/Middle East North Africa), along with the World Initiative for Soy in Human Health (WISHH), provided a regional overview and discusses program proposals.
