USSEC to Hold Board Meeting, Attend Commodity Classic in San Antonio

USSEC will hold its next board meeting and attend the 2014 Commodity Classic in San Antonio, Texas.
The USSEC board meeting will take place on Tuesday, February 25 at the Grand Hyatt San Antonio. Members are slated to hear a report from CEO Jim Sutter, in addition to committee and department reports. Old and new business will also be discussed during this meeting. Some of the topics covered will be governance, budget, membership, industry relations, QSSBs, management processes, UES15, USSEC programs, sustainability and funding.
USSEC will also participate in the Commodity Classic, which bills itself as “America’s largest farmer-led, farmer-focused convention and trade show.” Growers, member associations, agribusinesses and media gather during this annual meeting to see new products and make business connections. Over 6200 participants attended the 2013 Commodity Classic. USSEC will be exhibiting a booth during this convention, which will run from February 27-March 1.
