USSEC Conducts Two Seminars for Mexico’s Feed Industry

USSEC recently conducted two seminars for the feed industry in Mexico.  Consultants Gerardo Luna, Carlos Lopez Coello and Christian Villamil from CIH conducted a seminar in Queretaro to update purchasing representatives and nutritionists on poultry production and to leverage the audience’s understanding of purchasing quality feedstuffs.  Thirty-five people representing purchasing in the feed industry came from seven Mexican states.  This event was co-sponsored by one of the two leading feed industry associations in Mexico.

Mr. Luna and Mr. Villamil next traveled to La Piedad to conduct the second seminar that introduced a group of hog producers to risk management in order to further their understanding of price management practices.  Thirty swine producers and processors attended this session, which was co-sponsored by the State of Michoacán Regional Association of Hog Producers.  Mr. Luna and Mr. Villamil also met with a key customer in Queretaro, interacted with feed and livestock producers and organizations, and met with a feed industry association representative to help them better leverage their risk management project.
