2015 U.S. Soy Global Trade Exchange to Feature Mark Lynas as Closing Speaker

The 2015 U.S. Soy Global Trade Exchange has confirmed that renowned author, journalist and environmental activist Mark Lynas will give the closing address, “Get to Know Your GMOs,” at this year’s event in Minneapolis.
Mr. Lynas is the author of several books on the environment and is a frequent speaker around the world on the topics of climate change, biotechnology and nuclear power. He served as climate change advisor to the President of the Maldives between 2009 and 2011. In October 2013, he was appointed a Visiting Fellow at Cornell University’s Office of International Programs at the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Mr. Lynas is also a member of the advisory board of the science advocacy group Sense About Science, and is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on Decarbonizing Energy, which focuses on sustainable energy to mitigate climate change.
