Salinas Named Americas Regional Director

Carlos Salinas has been named Regional Director – Americas for USSEC.
Prior to his work for USSEC, Salinas served as the head of Bunge’s USA feedgrains desk, where he was responsible for aligning global strategy within North America, cash and futures trading exposures, the direction and execution of commercial strategy, and worked with various commodities including soybeans. He previously held positions with Bunge in Singapore and Brazil and also worked for ADM and Continental Grain Company in both domestic and international positions.
“Carlos’s time here at USSEC, combined with his prior experience, will offer many advantages as he transitions into the role of regional director for the Americas,” states USSEC CEO Jim Sutter. “As Carlos moves into his new role, I’m confident he will demonstrate the same teambuilding, high energy working style he has demonstrated to date.”
Carlos and his wife Susy have three children: Sarah, Carlos, and Oscar. He enjoys playing tennis, participating in local leagues and tournaments.
The transition to replace Carlos’ position as Senior Director – Soybean Meal, will begin in the near future.
