The results from the trials during 20007 for seabass indicated that the species is more sensitive to fishmeal/fish oil replacement than Gilthead seabream. It was concluded that 40% fishmeal protein was the main focus for the formulations of the 2008 program. Another point of study was to check the effect of the type of soy protein concentrate, more precisely the type of soy protein concentrate depending on the processing applied to the soybeam meal.
