European seabass (Dicentrarchus labrax) is one of the main species of marine fish produced in the Mediterranean region, totalling close to 80,000 MT in 2006.

The main objective of the present study is to determine the optimal inclusion levels and value of soy bean products (defatted soybean meal SBM, soybean oil SBO and soy protein concentrate SPC of U.S. origin) as fish meal/fish oil replacers in practical diets for D. labrax. The effect of fish meal replacement with soy products on growth, survival, HSI, VSI, liver histology, FCR and PER will be evaluated under controlled lab scale conditions.
