This is an annual event that brings together aquaculture feed formulators to learn both how to better formulate aquafeeds and to better understand how to determine ingredient nutrient quality.  In 2024 this event was moved from a series of national events to a regional one, and targets feedmills that have a demonstrated history of purchasing US Soy products.  By working with these formulators, the expectation is that the value and utility of US Soy will be further confirmed, and that these formulators will have influence on the purchasing decisions of their feedmills' ingredient purchasing manager(s). USSEC often talks about the intrinsic and extrinsic values of US Soy, but are not "at the table" when commercial formulators are actually formulating.  This workshop simulates a commercial formulation environment to allow formulator to better understand how to formulate and how to value ingredients' nutrient values.  This event also is key for USSEC to better understand the commercial feedmills' mindset on how to use ingredients, allowing USSEC to better tailor its US Soy marketing efforts.
