Scott Gaffner raises soybeans, corn and wheat on his family’s centennial farm in southwestern Illinois. He is Secretary and At-Large Director for the Illinois Soybean Association, where he serves on the Market Development and Governance Committees and represents the organization at the Soy Innovation Center. Scott also serves on the World Initiative for Soy in Human Health (WISHH) Executive Committee and the USA Poultry and Egg Export Council board. He is an American Soybean Association Director, serving on the Biofuels & Infrastructure Committee. Scott holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and retired as a lieutenant after nearly 30 years of service with the Illinois State Police. He has owned small businesses including a Scooter’s Coffee, internet service provider and security company and was an adjunct professor at Greenville University. Scott and his wife, Jamie, have two sons, Caleb and Cody.
