Sustainable U.S. Soy Label Elevates Brand Trust on Soy Food Brands Across Asia

April 23, 2026

As we continue celebrating Soy Foods Month and with a nod to Earth Day, let’s spotlight Asian soy food brands that feature the Sustainable U.S. Soy label on their packaging. This label helps elevate products in the marketplace by strengthening differentiation, boosting sales and building consumer trust.

Seeing the Sustainable U.S. Soy label ensures that at least 60% of the soybeans used to make the soy food were sourced under the U.S. Soy Sustainability Assurance Protocol (SSAP) certificate. Today, the Sustainable U.S. Soy label appears on over 1,100 products from over 120 companies across 22 countries.

Dutch Mill Group (Thailand)

Dutch Mill Group, Thailand’s leading dairy and soy milk producer, is reinforcing its commitment to sustainability by featuring the Sustainable U.S. Soy label on its packaging, the first Thai soy milk brand to do so.

In July 2025, Dutch Mill introduced the label on its Soy Secretz products for export to China, marking the first adoption of the certification by a Thai soy milk brand. The rollout will expand to more than 10 items under the DNA brand, with plans to introduce the label on domestic products in 2026.

Yonsei University Dairy & Maeil Dairies (South Korea)

Maeil Dairies added the Sustainable U.S. Soy label to its flagship product, “Maeil 99.9,” in June 2025, driving a 60% sales increase from June to September compared with the same period the previous year. Both brands have strengthened their market presence by leveraging the label to build trust and highlight sustainability.

Yonsei University Dairy achieved strong results after applying the label to two new soy milk products in June 2025. Sales increased more than 65% by September, earning the brand the “2025 Korea Hit Product of the Year” award in the soy milk category.

Marukin Foods (Japan)

Marukin Foods of Japan uses certified sustainable U.S. soybeans in six natto products, sold domestically and exported to China, the United Kingdom, the United States, Thailand, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, France and the UAE.

At the recent Asia Soy Excellence and Food Summit, CEO Fusako Kira shared that the Sustainable U.S. Soy label provides clear proof of traceability, builds international credibility, and influences purchasing decisions across markets.
