USSEC Sponsors Philippine Aquaculture Feedmill Formulators for Aqua Nutrition Course

USSEC Southeast Asia (SEA) sponsored ten aquaculture feed mill formulators and technical managers for schooling in Certificate in Aqua Nutrition by Progressus Agri Schools in Kasetsart University, Kamphaeng Saen Campus, Nakhonpathom, Thailand August 21-25.
The Progressus Aqua Nutrition AgriSchool provides detailed, hands-on training on the role of the nutritionist in the success of feed companies and farm performance. The program covers aqua nutrition, including marine and fresh water fish and shrimp formulations. It focuses on developing pressures on aqua nutrition and explores options available in adjusting formulations with reduced or no fishmeal inclusions.
The USSEC-sponsored aquaculture feedmill formulators and technical managers from the Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Myanmar, and Malaysia were able to enhance their understanding and gain more knowledge in aquaculture feed formulations especially during different challenges they face in everyday formulation.
Levy Loreto Manalac, USSEC Philippines Technical Manger – Aquaculture and SEA Feed Demonstration Coordinator introduced and presented updates about the USSEC International Aquaculture Feed Formuation Database.
35 participants from different parts of the world attended the Certificate in Aqua Nutrition by Progressus Agri Schools.
