USSEC recently participated in a Venezuelan Poultry Federation (FENAVI) seminar held in Caracas, Venezuela. Carlos Campabadal, USSEC contractor, attended the seminar to offer technical assistance regarding the use of soy meal in poultry feeds. The seminar included a conference for journalists where Campabadal gave a presentation on the myths surrounding hormones in broiler feeding systems. While in Caracas he also visited Villa Flora Farm, part of the La Caridad Dairy Operation, to discuss the advantages of full-fat soy meal in dairy diets. At Villa Flora Farm Campabadal also provided technical assistance in formulating feeds and developing pasture and silage programs.
