USSEC participated in the YemSis and Feed Management Systems (FMS) Regional Customer Conference in Izmir, Turkey from February 26-28.  This educational conference was held in response to strong growth in Turkey’s animal feed industry and investment in feed technologies and was designed to arm Turkish and Middle East feed producers with technology, knowledge and expertise to help them capitalize on the growth projected for the industry.  Attendees participated in a wide range of knowledge-based seminars on technology trends and feed formulation, animal nutrition and feed operations.  YemSis is a feed formulation company that works with FMS and Cargill.

USSEC Regional Director – Europe and Middle East North Africa Brent Babb gave a presentation providing a general overview of the global soy market with an emphasis on U.S. soy.  Mr. Babb reported on the quality of U.S. soy and also discussed the U.S. transportation system, along with information about biotech and market access.
