USSEC India Invited by TV media to Discuss, Guide Improvements in Aquaculture, Animal Husbandry Practices

USSEC was recently invited by Green TV India to engage in a series of TV talks aimed at benefitting farmers and the animal husbandry and aquaculture industries.
In December, USSEC Country Director – India Dr. P.E. Vijay Anand recorded the first 20-minute TV talk in the studio, discussing the broad aspects connected to the improvement of poultry, fish and shrimp production in India.  Dr. Anand also covered the significance of soy protein in animal feed to produce animal protein in India, highlighting that soy use in India has been growing as a dependable, sustainable, vegetable source of protein for various applications.  On the animal production front, topics such as improvements in feeding and farm management practices that could provide potential opportunities for rural India were discussed.  Questions on future animal protein consumption trends were answered as well.  Green TV proposed more talks on specific topics that would be useful for India’s animal husbandry and aquaculture industries.
