USSEC to Host EU/MENA 4th Annual U.S. Soy Trade & Sustainability Buyers Conference in Italy

USSEC will host the European Union/Middle East North Africa (EU/MENA) 4th Annual U.S. Soy Trade & Sustainability Buyers Conference in Rome, Italy.  The conference will take place from February 4-6.
The U.S. Soy delegation will include several grower leaders along with USSEC staff and consultants.  USSEC Vice Chair and American Soybean Association (ASA) director Jim Miller of Nebraska; United Soybean Board (USB) director Dennis Clark of Kentucky; and USB chair Bob Haselwood from Kansas will travel to Rome.  Also participating will be USSEC CEO Jim Sutter; USSEC Regional Director – Greater EU & MENA Brent Babb; USSEC Marketing Director – Animal Nutrition/Meal Pam Helmsing; USSEC Marketing Director – Aquaculture/Customer Focus Colby Sutter; and USSEC Project Manager - Greater EU & MENA Joe Mast.  USSEC consultants Jay O’Neil, Marty Matlock and Gary Martin will also attend the conference.
There will be a welcome reception on the evening of February 4, before the conference officially kicks off the next morning.  Discussions will include Global & Europe/MENA Supply and Demand; U.S. Sustainable Soy and Market; Soy Crushing and Biofuels—Market Price and Demand; Better Risk Management by using Non-Standard Options; Future of Funds in Ag Commodities; Customers of U.S. Soy; Biotech Approvals and Industry Impact; and a U.S. Soy Industry Panel.
Topics on the last day of the conference will include Poultry/Meat/Fish Production Competiveness and Retail Markets; North Africa/Middle East Panel; Europe Industry Panel; Transportation Opportunities and Bottlenecks—U.S. Situation, Suez and Panama; and a Poultry/Livestock/Aquaculture Panel.
