USSEC Holds Board Meeting in St. Louis

The USSEC Board of Directors met on November 28 and 29 in St. Louis.
Members engaged in a generative thinking session and participated in the International Marketing Dialogue.
The directors were updated on Unified Export Strategy (UES) 2018 and the UES 2019 timeline, the Asia Subcontinent virtual office, and internally managed funds (IMF 18) projects by USSEC COO Ed Beaman. Directors also discussed plans for the 2018 U.S. Soy Global Trade Exchange, before turning their attention to a USSOY brand, website, and content marketing update from USSEC Communications Manager Lisa Humphreys and BigWideSky CEO Eliot Frick.
New United Soybean Board (USB) CEO Polly Ruhland spoke about the importance of partnerships and how they enhance organizational culture.
During his update to the board, USSEC CEO Jim Sutter emphasized the USSEC mission and the organization’s values.
The board also conducted routine business and heard committee reports.
