USSEC Holds Annual Meeting in Milwaukee

USSEC held its annual meeting on September 16 at the Milwaukee Hilton Hotel in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  USSEC board members, USSEC members, USSEC staff, and other representatives of the soy industry were in attendance.
USSEC CEO Jim Sutter reported on USSEC values, staff climate and strategy refresh, particularly in the areas of trade and technical services and market access.  USSEC has differentiation and building preference at the forefront of all strategy, he said.  In the area of differentiation, focus has been on the U.S. Soy Sustainability Assurance Protocol (SSAP), amino acid content and the reliability of the supply chain.  Building preference has centered on creating market access, biotech, meeting with customers, and USSEC’s international collaboration with the International Soybean Growers Association (ISGA), particularly ISGA’s 2015 mission to china and its new whitepaper.
All six USSEC regional directors provided a report and market snapshot of his region.  The six USSEC regions include North Asia, Southeast Asia, Americas, Greater Europe/MENA, the Asian Subcontinent, and World Wide & Utilization.
