Seeding a Sustainable Solution

That’s the title of a TECHTalk USSEC’s Abby Rinne will give as part of the virtual International Production and Processing Expo.

The International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE), which USSEC has long been a part of, will kick off Jan. 25 and run through Jan. 29. According to its website, the IPPE community represents the best marketplace for products and information in the poultry, egg, meat and feed industries.

Instead of hosting virtual booths, IPPE will host a Marketplace, where attendees can participate in educational programs, TECHTalks and learn about innovative products through the Innovation Station.

One of the TECHTalks that will be given is called “Seeding the Sustainability Solution” with Abby Rinne, USSEC directory of sustainability. Her talk will spotlight U.S. soybean farmers’ commitment to conservation and how U.S. Soy supports the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Additionally, Rinne will showcase the newest research and sharing the data behind U.S. Soy’s carbon footprint compared to other countries from which soy is commonly sourced.

Also hosting a TECHTalk and participating in the IPPE is USSEC member Insta-Pro International.

Sponsored by the American Feed Industry Association, North American Meat Institute and U.S. Poultry & Egg Association, the IPPE Marketplace will invite more than 50,000 industry representatives and buyers from across the globe.
