U.S. Exporters Network with International Customers in Davenport in Numerous Ways

American soy export companies networked with international customers in many ways at this week’s U.S. Soy Global Trade Exchange.

About the event, Jim Sutter, USSEC CEO said, "“Virtually every company that is involved in U.S. exports was present, from the large bulk exporters to the specialty soybean shippers that are involved in value-added products.  It was an excellent networking opportunity for exporters of all sizes and capabilities and it was great to see them all participating.”
USSEC teams had a unique opportunity to hold meetings with export suppliers during the Trade Team Invitational, which took place on the first morning of the conference.  These meetings provided a liaison between regional USSEC teams and export companies.  Participating companies included Ag Processing Inc. (AGP); Agrex; Brushvale; Gavilion; JB Global; Perdue; Richland IFC; SB&B; Schillinger Genetics; Scoular; Sun Opta; Trans Coastal; and Zeeland Farm Services.  USSEC teams representing various regions worldwide and covering a wide spectrum of soy products met with these participating export companies, who provided immeasurable support to the event.
In addition to the Trade Team Invitational, companies provided support in other ways as Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM) sponsored a welcome reception for international customers at the retro chic Blackhawk Bowl, located at The Hotel Blackhawk.  Agrex and John Deere opened their operations to nearly 400 exchange participants on Wednesday, as Agrex’s River Gulf Grain division gave an overview of their barge loading operations at their Bettendorf, IA facility and John Deere provided a presentation and tour of their World Headquarters in East Moline, IL.
USSEC is sincerely grateful for all of the support provided to the U.S. Soy Global Trade Exchange by the sponsors, helping to make this first year a tremendous success for the U.S. soy family and industry.   A complete list of event sponsors can be found here.
