S.E. Asia Sustainability in Food and Agriculture Conference
Welcome to USSEC’s 1st S.E. Asia Sustainability in Food and Agriculture Conference! This virtual conference is organized by the U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC) made possible through the support of our U.S. Soy Producers and the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
This two-day virtual event will examine the key factors driving the urgency for sustainability, provide industry standards that have made sustainable production and practices the mainstay of their businesses and expound on the blueprint laid out under the United Nation’s Global Sustainability Goals (SDG) towards 2030.
We are glad to have the participation of leading international organizations like Field to Market and the Global Aquaculture Alliance as well as a distinguished panel of subject matter experts and Thought Leaders to share their insights and direction on the critical role of Sustainability from “field to fork”.
Southeast Asia’s population continues to grow rapidly and is estimated to reach 710 million people by 2030. To ensure our food systems are able to meet the ever increasing demand for food, we will need to look towards technology and innovation. Of equal importance is the need to manage this progress and expansion through sustainable practices, lined with milestones and paved with goals that aim to maintain a positive balance on our natural resources.
Our U.S. Soy growers have for generations made Sustainable and Regenerative Farming their practice and mission and have been pivotal in the development of the internationally recognized U.S. Soy Sustainability Assurance Protocol (SSAP).
