USSEC is featured on Beijing Blog

USSEC was recently featured on the Beijing blog, “Beijing with Bruce.”  Website and radio host Bruce Connolly is originally from Scotland and has been living in Beijing for over ten years, photographing and promoting China.
Mr. Connolly met with USSEC Regional Director – North Asia Paul Burke to learn more about soybeans.  Mr. Burke discussed how he has watched the growth and changes in China’s agriculture since his own move to that country in 1984.  He also talked about soybeans’ origin in China, where and how they are grown today, and their extensive range of uses including favorite Chinese snack “maodou,” tofu, soy milk, cooking oil and pig feed.
