International Trade Teams Participate in Indiana Field Day

After the U.S. Soy Global Trade Exchange wrapped up in Indianapolis, several international trade teams participated in the Indiana Field Day on September 2.
Participating teams included:

  • Africa Food/Feed
  • Americas (AM) Crushers and Soybean Oil
  • AM Feed Manufacturers and Integrations
  • Asia Subcontinent (ASC) (India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh) Feed Team
  • India Food Bean Team
  • Japan Feed Vessel
  • Pakistan Feed team
  • Southeast Asia (SEA) Feed - Bulk
  • SEA Feed - Containers
  • Taiwan Crusher Vessel & Container

About 130 guests and escorts for the teams participated. Including USSEC staff, industry guests, grower leaders, and Indiana Soybean Alliance (ISA) employees, total attendance was around 150.
ISA hosted, sponsored and arranged the field day event.
All teams attended a presentation and breakfast at the JW Marriott in downtown Indianapolis before traveling to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Guests visited the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Hall of Fame Museum, Gasoline Alley, Victory Podium and the Pagoda, before enjoying lunch.

After lunch, the groups were divided into three tracks for industry and farm tours.
Track 1 visited Dow AgroSciences in Indianapolis, and Archer Daniels Midland and the farm of United Soybean Board (USB) and ISA director Mike Beard in Frankfort, Indiana.
Track 2 visited Bunge and Integrity Bio Fuels in Morristown, Indiana before traveling to the Reichenbach Farm in Greenfield, Indiana.
Track 3 participants went to the Rulon Farm in Arcadia, Indiana before visiting Dow AgroSciences.
